About The Reading Camp

The Reading Camp (TRC) Learning Center is where love for learning begins. It was founded in 2010 by the Sebastian-Maog sisters.  They are all graduates of Immaculata Academy of Malolos now the Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos.  The center administrator is MAYETTE SEBASTIAN MAOG-AZUCENA,also known as Ms. Kayie to the students, parents, and  community.  She has completed the required education units at the Philippine Normal University  to become  a Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) licensed teacher.  She has taught at the Assumption College  in San Lorenzo Village , Makati City .  She is also an experienced overseas company manager and administrator.

One of the program consultants is RHODYLYN SEBASTIAN MAOG, a fully credentialed Resource Specialist in California, USA.  She is a University of the Philippines (UP), Diliman Special Education cum laude graduate. She is  a PRC licensed teacher and a former grade school teacher at Xavier School in Greenhills, San Juan .

Another program consultant at TRC is MYLENE MAOG-PENARANDA.  She is also a UP Diliman Bachelor in Elementary Education cum laude graduate and  a PRC licensed teacher.  She has taught in the UP Integrated School in Quezon City and Xavier School in Greenhills, San Juan .
With the talents and skills they had acquired throughout the years of studies and professional experience they would like to pass forward these same   skills and love of learning to the community where they lived, and grew as family.

The Reading Camp (TRC) is a newly-organized learning center. TRC subscribes to and widely uses  scientifically researched reading resources  from the United States. TRC also facilitates the Developmental Mathematics program used in the United States as well.  It is the first of its kind in the city of Malolos , Bulacan.

We offer a variety of one-on-one Reading program packages for early emergent readers (levels for ages 4-6), emergent readers (levels for ages 6-7), early fluent readers (levels for ages 9-10), fluent readers (levels for ages 9-12).  We also offer programs for students who may be reading far below or way above target level (levels for ages 4-16).
We also offer one-on-one Developmental Mathematics Program.  It is a number-learning program that starts from counting and guides students into advanced math disciplines. The learner is then trained to use acquired knowledge in generating new knowledge, which is the essence of mathematical thinking.  The student’s knowledge is then consolidated as a coherent body rather than a collection of unrelated facts and skills.

We also offer academic tutorials for all levels.  We build the foundation for academic excellence through a systematic approach. Here, discipline is instilled to students and good study habits are developed, as well. This, hopefully, would result in independent learning and a successful future for all students.

We also offer English as a Second Language to local and foreign students with special focus on individual needs.  We provide real-life materials that  help teach English. This builds skills, confidence, and independence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

All of the TRC teachers are thoroughly screened for appropriate qualifications and skills. While on staff, they receive continuous training to conduct the different programs and services that we offer to our students at TRC.
